A historic pottery firm in Stoke-on-Trent has been bought out of administration.
Hudson and Middleton, which went into administration on 20 June, has been acquired by BID Group, which helps turn around struggling businesses.
The firm, dating back to 1875, makes fine bone china products and previously employed 45 people.
Lee Smith from BID said it would be employing “at least 25 people” but said he could not give an exact figure.
The pottery’s managing director at the time of the collapse, Mike Shirley, had blamed a lack of orders on the failure of the business.
Mr Smith said BID had been in contact with a large firm in China about a partnership but that did not mean it would move production to China adding “we are passionate about UK-made products”.
Hudson and Middleton, which exports products around the world, recently underwent a £170,000 facelift to include a visitor centre, allowing members of the public to watch demonstrations of products being made on the factory floor.
