Stoke on Trent Companies Fly the Flag for Ceramics

Pottery companies from Stoke on Trent will be promoting Stoke-on-Trent as the epicentre of the ceramics world at an international trade show in Cleveland, Ohio between 28 – 30 April at the Ceramics Expo Show.

Exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend the show in April giving businesses a chance to network with some of the major players on the world ceramics stage.

The three local firms, Keeling and Walker, James Kent Group and Mantec Technical Ceramics all applied for the places and made the final cut.

The event is being jointly funded by Make it Stoke-on- Trent and Staffordshire, the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the businesses themselves.

Sara Williams, Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “The chamber has a long history of supporting local companies to develop their business both in the UK and overseas. We are very excited to be working alongside the companies and I am sure the event will be a great success.”

Robert Lawley, Head of International Trade at UK Trade and Investment, added: “Taking part in a show such as this is key to many export strategies and it’s fantastic that local companies are exhibiting – raising not only their own profile, but also the city’s as a centre of excellence for ceramics.”
