As an advanced manufacturing, export-led sector, the ceramics industry is a vital contributor to the UK economy. The competitive advantage of the UK sector is the ceramics skills of its workforce.
The CSA actively promote Staffordshire student engagement in the form of outreach work with local schools. The Academy co-ordinate a range of creative engineering projects to challenge young minds and open up career opportunities in ceramics. This would include ceramics placements, visits, mock interviews and competitions.
The CSA operate as an Apprentice Training Agency offering ceramics apprenticeships and ceramics training in Staffordshire work placements.
The Academy also work with its member businesses to develop qualifications to enhance Staffordshire careers options within the industry.
